The main intent of the project is to provide a place of residence for the Owner who is a mother and for her two sons. The rowhouse typology is the perfect means to provide each of them with sufficient privacy and space while having immediate access to one another at times of need or for any celebrations and gatherings. Their strong family bond is symbolized in the architecture of this building. With the mother occupying the middle unit and sons on either side, the architecture is symbolizing the mother’s sheltering arms/brace above the two sons in the form of overhangs that extend from the middle unit above the two side units.
